...maybe it's a good thing that i didn't know how deeply i would fall in love with my daughter. four months ago, I couldn't fathom loving someone as fully and completely as i love tony, and while it's a different sort of love, it's there and i'm hopelessly lost in it. she smiles and i love her more, she cries and i love her more, she poops and it gets all over her shirt and i sit there in utter confusion as to how to get it over her head without getting the mess in her hair, and i love her more. my heart doesn't know how to express to Jesus my thankfulness for lyla...but i don't doubt that He knows.
