today was a day of doing a first for me. i killed my pumpkins, gutted out their seeds and roasted them. a fun process but one that saddened me at the same time. fall is coming to a close. lyla's first fall. she's growing and changing so quickly, and while i love seeing who she is becoming, my heart longs for time to slow down, just a bit...
sometimes it's too fleeting...
but before the momentous occasion that resulted in a yummy snack (see aforementioned paragraph), i was visiting with thalia's mommy and we got up to check on our girls only to discover that they had made their way down the hall and were playing quietly in lyla's bedroom.
they are so, so cute...
