...well, not really, but we heard him or her:). yesterday i went to my first prenatal appointment and met my midwife. it was just supposed to be a consult, but i ended up feeling so comfortable with her that i decided to stick with my plan of going all natural this time. (gulp)
she had me lay down so she could find the heart beat and warned me that we may not be able to hear it, so i shouldn't worry. the second place she tried produced a soft, tiny "tha thump, tha thump"- i was so excited!! i looked over to see tony's reaction, but sitting on a comfy couch and still recovering from the crazy christmas season had produced one tired husband. he was sleeping soundly while securly holding lyla. the sleeping didn't last for long though once he heard both charlotte's and my excitement and he woke up as charlotte held up the heart detector thingy so lyla could hear it too. such a precious moment to share with the most precious people in my life.
so at this point my due date is around august 6, 2007, which makes me 10 1/2 weeks along and will make lyla just 18 months. (yikes!) hopefully, only 1 1/2 weeks left of feeling so horrid and looking like i haven't slept in a year. because i have!! lyla really is sleeping through the night!!:)
