the pacific science center...

this year, because of the move, we decided to do something on a smaller scale for lyla's birthday. (i quickly discovered that nothing is done on a small scale for a birthday...) the first half of the birthday morning was spent at the pacific science center in seattle so that the "southerners" could meet us half way and both gramma's could enjoy the birthday girl together.

here is lyla enjoying a riveting movie about dinosaurs with her cousins madeline and avery.gramma-nana was a safe haven to run to when she got scared...or when she needed to show off her birthday galoshes to someone.
gramma also provided snuggly arms to cling to when said dinosaurs hatched as babies.
did i mention my girl likes slides? just look at the concentration!
and water...she also likes water.
